In order to prepare for the screen-test, Anushka Sharma took a full day. Later on, she was cast in three films for Yash Raj Films. The role she played was that of an unwed bride and married to a man in middle aged (the role that Shah Rukh Khan was portraying). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. The year 2010 was the year that Anushka Sharma starred in the film 'Badmash Company with Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das as well as Meiyang Chang. The movie received mixed praises. Anushka appeared as a Punjabi girl who was from middle class in a film called 'Band Baaja Baaraat. The film featured her alongside Ranveer. This movie was well received and was later a sleeper. With Band Baaja Baaraat Anushka's three-film agreement under the Yash Raj Films banner was complete.
