Louisa Krause was born in New York City. Her most well-known role is Anna Garner on the TV show The Girl Experience. Brenda Woodberg played her first movie role in Babysitters, where she appeared in the character of Brenda Woodberg. Krause began her career as a drama major at the college level, before she appeared in numerous off-Broadway plays and episodes of New York based TV shows. Professionally, her parents are of American and Japanese descent. Nathaniel, Nathaniel's brother, is a successful director. After studying at Washington School of Ballet and performing in musicals, plays and other performances by Henry Krieger and Bill Russell in high school she started to pursue her passion for the arts. In high school, she was accepted into The Carnegie Mellon Drama School. Krause decided to launch her acting career shortly after. Krause earned her Equity certificate by appearing in a musical based on Aida. Louisa Krause was first involved with theatre. She was in the Huntington Theatre Company's production of the play Iphigenia in 2006. The production was Iphigenia in the Signature Theatre Company's Iphigenia 2 in 2007.
